Job Description:

We are an online restaurant looking for multi-skilled candidate who can balance technical maintenance with good people skills. The Maintenance and facility officer will be responsible for maintaining both electrical and mechanical appliances including all other appliances used in Operations.

Job Description

• Monitor all equipment, facility and ensure routine, non-routine, inspection, emergency repairs without delay. This includes part replacement, installations and plumbing.
• keep records of equipment manuals and user guides, as well as maintenance practices and repair work done on the facility and equipment.
• Identify company needs and advise management on maintenance best practices to reduce cost.

• Source for qualified contractors and maintain approved list for all company jobs.
• Ensure that any contractors on the approved list are suitably qualified for the type of work they undertake and have all the necessary documentation required to be an approved contractor in place.
• Oversee the work of approved contractors in a professional manner and regularly review their performance.
• Scrutinize contractor’s quotes for jobs to ensure best quality material is purchased, supervise jobs and present satisfactory reports to management on jobs done.
• Monitor response times regularly for completing repairs in order to measure contractor performance
• Respond to out of hours calls when there is emergency.
• Work closely with all other staff to ensure the delivery of all services is efficient and effective to all customers.
• Ensure weekly and monthly maintenance reports are compiled and submitted to the manager as at when due.
• Carry out other specific tasks as instructed by the Managing director and outlet manager.

Requirements

• HND / B.Sc in Electrical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering Degree or equivalent.
• 1 – 3 years of experience in maintenance service and facility management
• Good experience in Electrical and Mechanical repairs is a plus
• Must reside on the island or ready to relocate.
• Honest and ready to work.
• Must have worked in a restaurant.
